Teen Advisory Board (TAB)
What is the Teen Advisory Board (TAB)?
A group of teens in grades 7 through 12 who meet on a regular basis and are interested in helping Teen Services staff in developing and implementing teen services. Members are eligible to receive volunteer credit.
Who can join?
Anyone in Grades 7th-12th (or equivalent for homeschoolers) is welcome to join TAB.
What are the duties of TAB members?

Provide input on the Teen collection (suggestions for purchase in all areas, including fiction, non-fiction, manga, and audiovisual materials).

Provide input on the Teen Center, including space planning, displays, and furniture.

Provide input on Teen programming and assist with implementation.

Assist with any fundraising (from ideas to implementation).

Read teen books and provide reviews for the Alhambra Teen website and Alhambra Teens MySpace page.

Encourage teen involvement in the library's services and programs

Advise Teen Services staff on teen interests and trends.
When will TAB meet?
TAB will meet in the Community Room from 3:30 pm to 4:30 pm on the third Thursday of each month. Location may vary so please check with the Teen staff.
