CLASS VISITS

A class visit is a wonderful way to introduce your students to the many services provided by the Alhambra Library. Please contact the Librarian (626) 570-3215 x.5622, to arrange a visit with your class.

During the class visit our professional staff can:

  • Provide a tour of the Library
  • Tell students how to get their own Library cards
  • Introduce Library resources available for class assignments, homework, after school, and recreation use.
  • Teach students how to use Library resources. Discuss the value of the Library and encourage young people to read.
  • Introduce the class to books on topics of your choice.
  • Present story and/or film programs.

Introduce your students to the Library

In order to have a successful Library class trip please remember:

  • Schedule visits in advance.
  • Arrive on time.
  • If students plan to borrow books during the visit, please remind them to bring their own Library cards or their completed, signed application forms.
  • If you want students to receive Library cards on the day of the visit, arrangements must be made in advance with Library staff.
  • Teachers, aides, and accompanying parents are expected to remain with and maintain discipline of the class during the visit.
