- Please read our Internet
Policy.
- To ensure courtesy and fair access,
the Library may set and enforce behavior standards.
- Usage is first come, first serve,
with sign in required. Reservation of individual workstations in the
Tech Center is not possible at this time.
- The Library Internet PCs are free,
self-guided machines. Limited instruction from Librarians is available
as time permits. Librarians can point you to more resources, and
will offer scheduled training classes, but can only provide basic
assistance at individual workstations.
- Individuals are expected to use the
Library's Internet PCs in a responsible and courteous manner.
- The Library may limit the number of
people using computers, the number waiting nearby, or the amount of
time per day an individual may use the Internet.

- Downloading to a floppy disk is
permitted; blank, formatted disks are available at the Reference
Desk for $1.00. Printing is available for 15 cents per page (debit
card required).
- Children through the eighth grade
must have parental permission to use the Internet (see Rules of
the Road handout in the Children's Room).
- The Library does not provide e-mail
for users. Use of independent e-mail services, such as Hotmail or
Yahoo Mail, are at the discretion of the user and the user of the
service is responsible for their own e-mail.
- The Library uses a commercial
filtering software program to control access to illegal and
inappropriate materials. The Library has no control over this
software, and is not responsible for any failures on the part of the
software to block or not block web sites.
- Patrons must finish their work and
log off 15 minutes before the Library closes.
THE LIBRARY DOES NOT PERMIT
- Conducting for-profit business on the
Library's Internet computers
- Political lobbying
- Violation of any federal, state or
local law or regulation including, but not restricted to, copyright
infringement and acts of a threatening, harassing or obscene nature.
WARNING: Abuse of the equipment
or the acceptable use policy may result in the loss of Library
privileges.
