Poster reading “ONE BOOK ONE COAST” in bold black text. Above the text is a stylized illustration of an open book forming a landscape with evergreen trees, ocean waves, mountains, clouds, and a large yellow sun. Decorative geometric patterns appear in the corners, and the book “They called us enemy” is centered near the bottom.

In honor of the One Book, One Coast selected title: They Called us Enemy by George Takei, stop by the First Floor and create a short comic about a family story, a moment of courage, a story of migration, or identity. Leave it with us and help us create a community story wall. All supplies will be provided.

Visit the table next to the computer stations on the First Floor to get started.

One Book, One Coast brings together library systems across California, Washington State, and Oregon for a shared community reading program that celebrates literacy, learning, community, and civil discourse. All participating libraries will read and discuss They Called Us Enemy by George Takei from April 1 through May 31.
