UNITED STATES CITIZENS MAY APPLY FOR A U.S. PASSPORT THROUGH THE ALHAMBRA LIBRARY
Services are available in person by appointment only.
Alhambra Library only accepts application for a U.S. Passport Form DS-11 if at least one of the following is true:
- You are applying for your first U.S. passport
- You are under the age of 16
- Your previous U.S. passport was issued when you were under the age of 16
- Your previous U.S. passport was lost, stolen, or damaged
- Your previous U.S. passport was issued more than 15 years ago
If none of the above statements apply to you, you may be eligible to renew by mail using Form DS-82.
PASSPORT HOURS OF OPERATION
Wednesday: 11am - 4pm (by appointment only)
Thursday: 11am - 7pm (by appointment only)
Friday: 11am - 4pm (by appointment only)
Sunday: 1pm - 4pm (by appointment only)
APPOINTMENTS MAY BE MADE IN PERSON, OVER THE PHONE, OR ONLINE

Call the Circulation Department at (626) 570-5028 during open Library hours
Scheduling Online:
- Go to Schedule an Appointment. (alhambrapassport.as.me)
- Choose appointment date and time, provide your contact information, and agree to the Terms and Conditions.
- Save your confirmation date and time.
If you need to modify or cancel your online appointment:
- Click the Reschedule tab on your confirmation email
- Choose a new time and date
- Click on reschedule.

EMERGENCY PASSPORTS
Travelers departing within two weeks must call for an appointment to be served at the Los Angeles passport Agency. Only those with an appointment will be admitted to the agency. Call the automated appointment system 24/7 at (877) 487-2778 or visit http://www.travel.state.gov.

Only Checks or Money Orders payable to "Department of State" are accepted for passport fees.

We do not take passport photos at the Library. Some local businesses that offer passport photos are (check their hours and fees before you go):
