The Alhambra Library has study rooms available for public use on the First and Second Floors of the Library. Study rooms are intended for the purposes of quiet study, conferencing, and discussion. Study room use is free of charge and on a first come, first served basis. Study rooms are open to library patrons ages 13+ during library open hours.
- Study Rooms A and B on the First Floor are for 1-4 people. Study Rooms A and B on the Second Floor are for 1-6 people.
- Group Study Room C on the First Floor is for groups of 4 or more people, up to 8 people maximum.
- Group Study Room C on the Second Floor is for the use of one individual at a time maximum.
- Limit of one session per person or group per day for up to 2 hours maximum.
- Use is limited to a maximum of 2 hours; no person or group may reserve or use a room more than once per day or exceed the 2-hour daily limit.
- Reservations can only be made on the day and are available first come, first served.
- When making a reservation, you will need your valid Alhambra Library card and the names of group members if you have any. If you have reserved your room via telephone, please bring your library card with you when you check in. You may be asked to verify your library card account with a valid picture ID.
- Monday – Thursday during the school year for two hours after school is dismissed, First Floor Study Rooms A and B are reserved for teens only.

If you have made a reservation, check in at the respective Help Desk within 10 minutes of the start of your reservation. Please note that your reservation may be given to another group if you are more than 10 minutes late for your reservation.
GUIDELINES
Thank you for helping us maintain a respectful, welcoming, and comfortable environment for everyone. Guidelines are posted at each study room. When you reserve and use the Library’s study rooms, you agree to abide by these guidelines.
- Keep conversations and phone calls quiet. Study rooms are not soundproof, and noise can carry into the Library.
- Use headphones for music, audio, and virtual meetings.
- Respect patrons who are using the Library for quiet study and work.
- All users are expected to follow library policies and conduct themselves respectfully.
- The library card holder who makes the reservation is responsible for the room’s condition and care, including any damage, and must remain in the room while it is in use.
- Study rooms may not be used for regular business activities or office hours.
- Staff will unlock and lock rooms and inspect them after use. Keys will not be provided to users.
- Groups and individuals must leave the room 15 minutes before closing. The final hour of the day is limited to 45 minutes due to staffing.
- No food is allowed. Covered drinks are permitted.
- Paint, glue, or other substances that could damage furniture or carpet are prohibited. Glue sticks are permitted.
- Study room lights must remain on at all times.
- Please leave the room clean and in good condition.
- Privacy in study rooms is limited. Staff may enter or access the room when necessary for safety, maintenance, cleaning, or Library operations.
Users who do not follow these guidelines may be asked to vacate the room.
