OVERVIEW
The My First Library Card program is for children ages 0-5 who are applying for a new library card at the Check Out Desk. The program’s goal is to inspire a love of reading at an early age. By encouraging library visits at an early age, we help caregivers prepare their children to become lifelong readers and avid library users.
- Recipients will receive a specially designed library card, a free plush toy, and a photo opportunity.
- For new library card applicants ONLY (not for accounts that are already in the system).
- Age will be verified by birthdate and year on the library card application.
- The card has all of the same features and privileges as the Library’s standard children’s library card.
