Poster reading “ONE BOOK ONE COAST” in bold black text. Above the text is a stylized illustration of an open book forming a landscape with evergreen trees, ocean waves, mountains, clouds, and a large yellow sun. Decorative geometric patterns appear in the corners, and an origami crane is centered near the bottom.

In honor of the One Book, One Coast selected title: They Called us Enemy by George Takei, patrons are invited to drop-in and help the library make one senbazuru (1000 cranes), a Japanese tradition of folding 1,000 origami cranes to grant a wish!

One Book, One Coast brings together library systems across California, Washington State, and Oregon for a shared community reading program that celebrates literacy, learning, community, and civil discourse. All participating libraries will read and discuss They Called Us Enemy by George Takei from April 1 through May 31.
