BECOME A VOLUNTEER AT THE LIBRARY
The volunteer application process is done through the City of Alhambra. Visit the Human Resources Department to inquire. They are located on the Second Floor of City Hall (111 South First Street).
- All Library Volunteers must be at least 14 years of age.
- All positions require a minimum commitment of two hours per week.
- All applicants must complete the volunteer application process through the City of Alhambra. Please note that all volunteers are required to be fingerprinted at the Alhambra Police Department.
- Prospective applicants will also go through a Library interview process after the City of Alhambra volunteer application process.

- Friends Foundation Bookstore Volunteer (Minimum age is 18)
- Annual Summer Reading Challenge Volunteer
- General Library Volunteer
Please note that the Library does not process any volunteer applications. The City of Alhambra Human Resources Department oversees volunteer inquires for the Alhambra Library and will manage the fingerprinting process.
