This summer, join us for a community reading program of exceptional scope – one book for all of Los Angeles County. From June 1 to July 27, eighteen library districts in LA County will be reading and discussing L.A. Weather by María Amparo Escandón. This reading program encourages dialogue, collaboration, and the power of libraries in creating a connected community.

Weather is a New York Times bestseller that follows the Mexican-American Alvarado family during a year in Los Angeles "as they wrestle with impending evacuations, secrets, deception, and betrayal, and their toughest decision yet: whether to stick together or burn it all down."
