Do you love to sew, or want to learn by doing? Join the Alhambra Library Ready, Set, Sew program, a six-week sewing experience designed for beginners and intermediate learners to sew it themselves, repair it themselves, and create within a community.

From June through July 2026, participants will build sewing skills through hands-on instruction, creative projects, clothing repair and reuse, and community collaboration, all while having the opportunity to borrow a sewing machine kit from the Library.

A shared community reading program that celebrates literacy, learning, community and civil discourse, One Book, One Coast brings together library systems across California, Washington State, and Oregon to read They Called us Enemy by George Takei.

Bike Smart! is a family-friendly series designed to help you ride safely and confidently this summer!

The Alhambra Library is collecting new and gently used bicycles for Bike Smart!, a free summer program that promotes bicycle safety and helps provide reliable transportation for families in our community. Donated bikes will be repaired and given to residents who need them for school, work, and daily travel.
